Mediaproxy Supplies 100 Channels of ASI/IP Compliance Logging to MeidaHub

January 26, 2010

Source: Mediaproxy

Mediaproxy, a provider of broadcast, compliance logging and monitoring solutions, announced it has been selected to provide the compliance logging system for MediaHub - a joint venture between the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and WIN Corporation (WIN) - based in New South Wales, Australia.

MediaProxy was selected by Grass Valley to supply an initial system comprising over 100 channels of ASI/IP logging. Implementation is due for completion during first quarter, 2010.

Mediaproxy’s Enimga LogServer ASI / IPTV professional broadcast monitoring and compliance logging system offers simultaneous recording and streaming of up to hundreds of ASI based TV channels. With the growth over the last ten years in multi-channel broadcasters, and direct-access distribution (DTH, web etc), broadcasters are moving to multiplexed signal distribution, both to distribution head-ends and the individual end user. ASI/IPTV logging allows customers to ingest these signals in their multiplexed transport formats, then selectively extract and record/monitor the nominated program streams with their associated data and audio tracks.

IPTV presents a tremendous opportunity, eliminating much of the hardware infrastructure and providing IP routable distribution of distribution and other program streams. Mediaproxy’s ASI/IPTV logging takes these stream sources directly from an ASI source or off the network, then decodes, logs and re-purposes without intermediate processing, and is increasingly being used by broadcasters worldwide.
